Actually Android does support social network integration, ICS provides the new Social API to allow applications to interact with data from social networks. Facebook needs to use this new API and update their application, unfortunatly I’m not sure if that’ll happen anytime soon due to some issues between both Google and Facebook.

My original point is that this is a 3rd party application, and therefore Android devices CANNOT do this out of the box, which is outrageous.
