Just the other day, we told how the Quad-Core HTC Edge was leaked by PocketNow, but this time around it’s BGR’s turn.
BGR has managed to get a hold of details and an image of the HTC Ville, although it doesn’t seem as interesting as the Edge it does certainly look nice. The HTC Ville and the HTC Edge will apparently be announced officially at the Mobile World Congress next year.
The device will supposedly launch in April with Android 4.0 and HTC Sense 4.0, for more details you know what to do……
Last month the ASUS chairman, Jonney Shih took to the stage at the Asia D event and gave us our very first glimpse of the Quad-Core Transformer Prime, the much anticipated successer to the Asus Eee Pad Transformer.
We were told that we would get more information about the device on the 9th of November and we’ve been waiting impatiently ever since, well now we’ve got the full scoop for you so read on for more information.
The first quad-core tablet, will most likely be the Transformer Prime, but what about a Quad-core phone. It might be the Meizu MX, but then again it could also be the leaked HTC Edge.
Pocketnow somehow been able to grab a leaked image of a press shot, don’t ask us how, but they seem to be good at it.
So, what about the rumoured specifications, read on if your interested.
Initially HTC was unsure as to which of their devices, if any, would be getting the Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0) update.
Well, as we speculated without much effort, they have just announced a list of “first wave” devices, that will be getting the update to ICS, to find out if your device is one of them, keep reading.
There seem to be a few different reports that the Samsung Galaxy Nexus will be available from as early as tomorrow (7th November) on the high streets of the UK, from Phones4U!
Read on for more information!
We seem to be getting overloaded with Ice Cream Sandwich news lately, but its to be expected. We’ve revieved information that the company, Meizu, will be updating both their M9 and MX variety of phones to Android 4.0 aka ICS.
Earlier in the week, the Meizu CEO, Jack Wong mentioned on their forums that some of their top end devices will get the update to ICS.
It may not be due for another two weeks, but Paul O’Brien has already rooted the Samsung Galaxy Nexus.
It’s not a permanent solution just yet, booting from a rooted image, rather than flashing a rooted image, but a permanent option can’t be far round the corner.
To read more or to download the superboot, head over to MoDaCo.com.
The 10.1 inch Motorola Xoom 2 and its smaller 8.2 inch media orientated sibling are now official, both devices will be on sale in the UK and Ireland starting mid-November. No mention of prices at the moment, but you should be able to grab one from PC World, Dixons, and Carphone Warehouse.
Both devices are pretty much what we expected from a specs standpoint, and it doesn’t really improve that much over the original Motorola Xoom. With only a dual-core processor, will it be able to do better than the Quad-core Transformer Prime, only time will tell.
For more specifications and a video read on.
Firstly, I’ve had reports that some people have already started seeing the new Android Market, appearance wise not a lot has changed but we do see some new welcomed features.
It also seems that PayPal payments may be coming soon to the Market, an AndroidGuys reader delved a little deeper into the APK to discover some Paypal integration references but more on that later.
For more information and download links please read on.
LG has come out and said that the buzz around the Internet in regards to the LG Optimus 2x not being updated to Android 4.0 are all untrue and are just merely rumors. A recent post on their Facebook page states:
“LG firmly denies the rumors that claim LG will not be providing the Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) OS update for the LG Optimus 2X. These rumors are NOT true. LG is currently in the process of planning the ICS OS update for the LG Optimus 2X as well as other LG high-end smartphones. Detailed information on the ICS OS update schedule for specific models will be announced, once the ICS OS is publicly released by Google. Please stay tuned for more updates from LG.
Thank you very much.”
