We’ve all been waiting for this day for ages, it’s something that everyone expected and wanted, now finally the Google Chrome browser has made it over to Android. We’re all already pretty impressed with the default browser on Android 4.o but a fully-fledged Chrome browser on our phones and tablets is something else, as it comes with some nifty new features.
Thanks to Paul O’Brien for giving the heads up on this one, MobiCity are listing a Samsung Galaxy SII HD as coming soon. A wander over to their Aussie counterpart shows some specs for the device.
Have you ever left your house keys somewhere and ended up panicking, not remembering where you left it? Maybe you’ve walked out of the house, and then half way to work you realised that you left your phone at home.
It has happened to me many times and I’m sure many of you have experienced it too, but now thanks to Cobra Electronics, these sort of problems could be a thing of the past.
Sony showed off 2 new Android phones yesterday, one being the 4.3inch sexy Xperia S (image on the left) and the other slightly larger 4.65inch Xperia Ion, other than that, internally both devices are pretty much the same.
I’m glad to see Sony finally catching up with the times, not quite there yet, but certainly catching up. Both devices feature a dual-core 1.5GHz processor, a whopping 12 megapixel Exmor R camera and a 720p Reality screen. I’m not too sure about the number of megapixels, 12 seems a bit too much for a phone camera but I’m sure Sony will surprise us somehow, the Exmor R camera on the Arc did perform quite well, so fingers crossed for this one.
I’m not too sure if we’ll see this one over here in the UK anytime soon, regardless I thought I would make a post as there’s still a slight possibility we might, and it does look like an interesting device.
As with most high-end Motorola phone, it’s got a qHD resolution display, the screen size is 4inches, in the inside you’ve got a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of on-board memory but you can add another 32GB using MicroSD.
Maybe you wanted the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play for its Gamepad but weren’t to keen about it’s specs, well, now there’s an answer to your prayers thanks to Gametel.
The Gamepad doesn’t require any physical connection with the devices it’s being used with due to Bluetooth connectivity so you don’t have to have your device mounted. You can play various games that support custom input and there are plenty of games in the Android market which are already compatible.
For those of you who wanted to get the Samsung Galaxy Nexus on contract and decided not to due to high contract prices, you’ll be happy to know that it’s now available for a somewhat cheaper price, of course, you’ll still have to pay an upfront fee of £99.
Once you’ve payed the upfront fee, you simply have to pay £20.42 every month over a 24 month contract period.
If you’re one of the many upset that the Galaxy Nexus only has 16 gig of memory and no expandable Micro SD card slot, this might be the news you’ve been waiting to hear. MobileFun.co.uk have announced they are now taking pre-orders for £614.95.
We always get statements from Android device manufacturers about future possible updates but things always get a little more exciting when we’re given more specific dates. This time around it’s Samsung, they’ve already confirmed before that they will update some of their devices to the latest version of Android, but now they have provided an early roadmap that pretty much confirms most of their dual-core devices will get the upgrade.
A leaked build of Android 4.0 (ICS) for the Samsung Galaxy SII has been found, and is available for download at Sam Mobile. This version is dated as December 7th and as expected features Samsung’s TouchWiz user interface.
A lot of things are currently not working, but generally, it gives you an idea of what to expect from Samsung’s ICS update. Keep reading to see a video of ICS running on the Samsung Galaxy SII.
