Galaxy Nexus Extended Battery on the Horizon

They’ve been knocking around on eBay for a few weeks now, but it’s great to see our favourite accessories website, MobileFun.co.uk will be having stock of the Official Galaxy Nexus Extended Battery within the next 4 to 6 weeks.

As with the Galaxy SII extended battery, not only do you get a 2,000mAh battery, but you get a whole new back cover to hide it.  By all accounts, the Nexus’ version doesn’t add a great deal of size or weight.

The good news is, as soon as they’re available, we’ll have one for testing and review!

LG X3 Flexes Its Quad-cores In Benchmark Test

Since we’re less than 2 weeks away from MWC 2012 in Barcelona and expecting many different Quad-core devices to be unveiled, it’s refreshing to be able to look at some bench-marking results from an upcoming Quad-core phone. The LG X3 got a Quadrant score of 4412, which is quite high indeed but does that matter?

4412 in Quadrant is pretty good, but then again just yesterday I ran the test on the Samsung Galaxy Note with the latest Quadrant, giving me a score more than 4000 and that’s from a dual-core device.

Regardless of the Quadrant results, the X3 appears to be a beast of a phone, keep reading for more information.

Google Chrome Beta Available For Android 4.0+

We’ve all been waiting for this day for ages, it’s something that everyone expected and wanted, now finally the Google Chrome browser has made it over to Android. We’re all already pretty impressed with the default browser on Android 4.o but a fully-fledged Chrome browser on our phones and tablets is something else, as it comes with some nifty new features.

Cobra Tag Helps Prevent Loss Of Valuables

Have you ever left your house keys somewhere and ended up panicking, not remembering where you left it? Maybe you’ve walked out of the house, and then half way to work you realised that you left your phone at home.

It has happened to me many times and I’m sure many of you have experienced it too, but now thanks to Cobra Electronics, these sort of problems could be a thing of the past.

Sony Reveals The Xperia S And Xperia Ion!

Sony showed off 2 new Android phones yesterday, one being the 4.3inch sexy Xperia S (image on the left) and the other slightly larger 4.65inch Xperia Ion, other than that, internally both devices are pretty much the same.

I’m glad to see Sony finally catching up with the times, not quite there yet, but certainly catching up. Both devices feature a dual-core 1.5GHz processor, a whopping 12 megapixel Exmor R camera and a 720p Reality screen. I’m not too sure about the number of megapixels, 12 seems a bit too much for a phone camera but I’m sure Sony will surprise us somehow, the Exmor R camera on the Arc did perform quite well, so fingers crossed for this one.

Motorola Droid 4 Announced!

I’m not too sure if we’ll see this one over here in the UK anytime soon, regardless I thought I would make a post as there’s still a slight possibility we might, and it does look like an interesting device.

As with most high-end Motorola phone, it’s got a qHD resolution display, the screen size is 4inches, in the inside you’ve got a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of on-board memory but you can add another 32GB using MicroSD.

Gametel Bluetooth Controller

Maybe you wanted the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play for its Gamepad but weren’t to keen about it’s specs, well, now there’s an answer to your prayers thanks to Gametel.

The Gamepad doesn’t require any physical connection with the devices it’s being used with due to Bluetooth connectivity so you don’t have to have your device mounted. You can play various games that support custom input and there are plenty of games in the Android market which are already compatible.
