Motorola Razr Review

Motorola has brought back to life the famous Razr branding, the original Razr was a clamshell device and was seen by many as a fashionable phone. While the original ran Symbian, this time the new re-imagined version runs on Android.

The device isn’t quite what we’re used to, it’s quite different to what we’ve seen from Motorola before but it certainly has its appeal. It might not be the worlds slimmest phone, but certainly feels that way.

The device comes packing with Android 2.3.5, when pretty much the whole world is expecting Android 4+, Motorola does plan to update it sometime this year, but our task is to give it full run through and evaluate how good of a phone it is as it is now, at this very moment.

Motorola Droid Razr vs Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Perhaps not the most scientific way to test, but hopefully this video will give you a rough idea of how these two compare. The browser test seemed to go wrong for the Nexus, I did it after restoring my 4.0.3 ROM and it scored 840!

Galaxy Nexus vs Galaxy Note

Two of the best devices available right now, pitted head to head on a number of tests.

Samsung Galaxy Nexus Review

The Samsung Galaxy Nexus is the first phone in the world  running Google’s Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich),  it has been talked about all over the Internet for months and has generated a fair amount of buzz. Android 4.0 has had a major design overhaul and includes many new features, while some ugly ducks grow up to be ugly ducks, not swans, Android has grown into something beautiful and elegant.

The actual handset might not be a quantum leap in terms of specifications, but that’s not really the selling point of the device, that’ll be Ice Cream Sandwich.

Ice Cream Sandwich is pretty much a fusion of both Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) and Android 3.0 (Honeycomb), and what we’ve ended up with is a futuristic Tron like UI that’s sure to blow your brains out….maybe. So, what do we at hemorrdroids.net think about the eagerly awaited Samsung Galaxy Nexus? Read on and find out in this full review of the worlds first Ice Cream Sandwich device.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 Review

Much like the original Samsung Galaxy Tab, the 8.9 pretty much yells for attention, it wants to be caressed and placed into a bag for use when you need it.

Samsung is aiming for the tablet sweet spot with this medium sized Honeycomb device. For such a slim device, it manages to pack in a lot of power, with a 1.2GHz dual-core Tegra 2 processor, Honeycomb 3.1 and Samsung’s “Marmite”  TouchWiz UI overlay.

In a nutshell the Tab 8.9 is just a smaller Galaxy Tab 10.1 but with an entry-level price of roughly £400 for the 16GB Wi-Fi model and around £500 for a 3G version, can the 8.9 really persuade today’s tablet users that what they really need is something a little smaller and lighter? Read on to find out, as that will be one of many questions we answer in this review.

Samsung Galaxy Nexus vs Samsung Galaxy SII (S2) [Camera Test]

Back before the year 2000 when all digital cameras were only 1.2 or 2 MP, each megapixel was very important,  if you wanted to make bigger prints. Today, even smartphones are capable of snapping pictures at 5 or 8 MP, which is more than enough for any size of print. Unless you want to print an image for a HUGE billboard, you don’t generally need more than 5 MP. So, in this day and age where nearly every mid-high end phone is 5 MP or above, the question that should come into your mind is, which camera has better optics, not which camera has more Megapixels.

In this article, I’ve posted a lot of pictures taken with the Galaxy SII and the Galaxy Nexus to give you a general idea of how they both stand up to each other, this article will possibly educate a few people and stop Forum posts titled like: “The Nexus is rubish…bla bla bla…it’s only 5 Megapixels bla bla bla”.

Bare in mind that this isn’t a review of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, the review will be out sometime next week, any way read on and check out the all pictures, if you’re interested that is.

Samung Galaxy Nexus Unboxing and First Look

I had to run a long way on my break, but here it is!

A review will come in time.

Samsung Galaxy Note Review

With all the hype surrounding the next Google Nexus phone and the release of Android 4.0, it would be forgivable if you hadn’t notice the Samsung Galaxy Note being released on the market.  If some how this ginormous device had snuck past you, we’re here to drag it back into the limelight for just a minute or two because it really is worth a look.

You could argue that with it’s 1.4ghz dual core CPU it’s technically the most advanced phone available right now and possibly this year.  At the same time, it possibly fits a rather niche market having probably the biggest screen on a device which is intended to be a phone at 5.3 inches across.

An unboxing and first look around the gargantuan device that is the Samsung Galaxy Note.
